Port Layout
The Port of Manzanillo has a port area of 437 hectares, which includes a water, docking and storage area. There are currently 17 docking positions, 14 hectares of storage areas equipped with 13.5 kms of railway lines and 5.4 kms of roadways. Polygon 1 is made up of 30.9 hectares, the Pemex terminal, along with the future cruise terminal are located there. Polygon 2, also known as Interior Port San Pedrito, is where the majority of the development in infrastructure has been concentrated, with specialized terminals and installations, along with a reserve area for future port growth.
It serves 15 states within the Mexican Republic, which represent 64% of the GDP of the country, and is strategically located to serve international commerce, to countries located on the Pacific Rim, and makes an ideal point of transference for the countries in Central and South America, currently, 26 shipping lines regularly visit the port and connect us to 74 destinations in the World.
There is also a double stack train service, and 14 terminals and specialized installations, all operated by private investors.
