It grows 22% motion in Manzanillo TEUs, compared to 2010
* Imports also increased by 19% and exports by 25% API
* We receive more ships and bigger and bigger, less than 1% expect to dock
The streamlining of procedures, the quality of community services and modern port infrastructure API Manzanillo, resulting in growth from January to June this year in the movement of TEUs of more than 22% over the same period 2010.
Until June, the port of Manzanillo handled 6.4 million tons of import, 19% over the same period last year, as well as a significant increase in exports of 5.1 million tons, which reflects a growth over 25%.

Note that the port of Manzanillo is getting more ships and bigger and bigger, however, even with the increase in freight movement and the size of ships, containers stay decreased from 7.8 days to just 5.5 days, thanks to the implementation of paperless port program and the participation of the entire port community to streamline procedures and services.
From January to June 2011 there were 268 ships at anchor, of which 199 did so on instructions from the shipping agency (due to waiting cargo to other ships) and only 35 of 268 vessels were waiting for spring, less than 1 percent.

Another important finding is the increase to 375 thousand tons of agricultural bulk cargo handled at Manzanillo so far this year, representing a 2.2% over 2010 and 2.6 tons of mineral bulk, which means a percent over the previous year.
